Finance the shoe donation
Launched in 2009, Twins for Peace, one of the few French companies to adopt “Buy one, give one”, based its model on manufacturing quality footwear, in Italy and Portugal. Sold on average 130 euros a pair in France, they help to finance the shoe donation of locally produced shoes in developing countries.
A complicated bet at the start: “The banks refused to fund us. We had to resort to individual investors, “says Maxime Mussard, one of three founders of the brand. By the second year, the company was already profitable. Twins for Peace has low margins, but enough to continue to grow, pay five employees and maintain a shop in Paris. “Our goal is not to make the most money but the most possible donations,” pleads Maxime Mussard. – Credit: Twins For Peace
